A Native of Kansas City, MO., now living in southern California, Linda Miser brings to her artwork a sensibility realized during her first trip to New Orleans. As she toured the galleries and walked among the street artists of the French Quarter, Linda soaked up the atmosphere of creative exploration. Overcome by the sense of wonder and possibilities expressed by those using their receptivity and the humble medium of spray paint to bring life to their artworks, she was motivated to emulate the methods of those whose work she'd seen.

"Creativity is influenced by a vast array of experiences, perception and intuition. I bring to my work, the confluence of my travels, my quest for self-awareness, and years of metaphysical exploration."

Identifying with the likes of Anna Mary Robertson (Grandma) Moses, Linda continues to be inspired by and examine the lives of other artists as her work evolves. Seeking to "unzip the viewer's mind," Linda infuses playfulness, humor and a touch of rebellion into her accomplished paintings.

Miser's works have been exhibited in juried shows, art centers, museums and public venues throughout southern California, she has served on the judging panel for the Artistic Discovery Program at the Nixon library, and maintains affiliations with numerous professional art associations in California and Hawaii.
